Felipe Levin is Champion of the Open Class with EB29R

The 38. FAI World Gliding Championship of 18 m, Double-Seater and Open Class from 17^th to 31 of august 2024 at Uvalde, Texas was a success for the German team.

On 12 days of competition, speeds of 129 - 164 km/h were flown. With 164.53 km/h on the second day of competition, Michael Sommer can book the fastest flight for himself.
As a team, Felipe Levin and Michael Sommer were able to take the first two places in the Open Class with their EB29Rs.
The five participating EB29Rs are all in the first 6 places.

Felipe Levin Weltmeister in der Offenen Klasse auf EB29R

Die 38. FAI Segelflugweltmeisterschaft der 18 m, der Doppelsitzer und der Offenen Klasse vom 17. bis 31.August 2024 in Uvalde, Texas waren ein Erflog für die deutsche Mannschaft.

An 12 Wertungstagen wurden Geschwindigkeiten von 129 - 164 km/h geflogen. Mit 164,53 km/h am zweiten Wertungstag kann Michael Sommer den schnellsten Flug für sich verbuchen.
Als Team konnten Felipe Levin und Michael Sommer mit ihren EB29R die ersten beiden Plätze in der Offenen Klasse belegen.
Die fünf teilnehmenden EB29R sind alle unter den ersten 6 Plätzen zu finden.

EM 2023 Leszno

21^th FAI European Gliding Championships - Leszno, Poland, 2023

The 21^th Europian Championships of the Open-Class, the 18m-Class and the Two-Seater-Classwere flown from 29^th july to 8^th of august in poland. The new champion of the Open-Class is Markus Frank flying the single seater EB29R, followed by Tomasz Rubaj JS1 C, and Sylvain Gerbaud third also EB29R. Flying EB29R Francois Jeremiasse reacht place 4 and Oliver Binder place 6.

DM 2023 Bayreuth

The German Nationals 2023 of the Open Class, the 18m-Class and the double-seater-Class were flown at Bayreuth from 28^th may to 09^thjune. Out of the 22 participants in the Open Class, 10 pilots flew EBs. Six EB pilots took the lead in the competition. First place goes to Michael Sommer, followed by Felipe Levin in 2^nd place and Oliver Binder in 3^rd place. All three flying EB29R, same as Markus Frank (place 4) and Holger Karow (place 5). Uwe Förster (place 6) follows with the double-seater EB29DR.
The new national team of the Open Class are Michael Sommer, Felipe Levin and Oliver Binder.

EM 2023 Leszno

21^th FAI European Gliding Championships - Leszno, Polen, 2023

Die 21. Europameisterschaft in der Offenen Klasse, der 18-Meter und der Doppelsitzer Klasse wurde vom 29.Juli bis 08.August in Polen ausgetragen. Europameister der offenen Klasse ist Markus Frank mit dem Einsitzer EB29R, gefolgt von Tomasz Rubaj mit der JS1 C auf Platz 2 und Sylvain Gerbaud ebenfalls mit einer EB29R auf Platz 3. Mit der EB29R erreichte Francois Jeremiasse Platz 4 und Oliver Binder Platz 6.

DM 2023 Bayreuth

Die Deutschen Meisterschaften 2023 in der Offenen Klasse, der 18-Meter Klasse und der Doppelsitzer Klasse wurden vom 28. Mai bis 09. Juni in Bayreuth ausgetragen.
In der Offenen Klasse haben insgesamt 10 EBs teilgenommen. Der erste Platz ging an Michael Sommer, gefolgt von Felipe Levin auf Platz 2 und Oliver Binder auf Platz 3. Auch Markus Frank (Platz4) und Holger Karow (Platz 5) sind wie die drei erstplazierten eine EB29R geflogen. Gefolgt von Uwe Förster (Platz6) mit dem Doppelsitzer EB29DR.
Die neue Nationalmannschaft der Offenen Klasse setzt sich nun aus den Piloten Michael Sommer, Felipe Levin und Oliver Binder zusammen.
